Georgia Pacific's Brawny household paper project is scheduled to begin to produce in 2024
After a year of construction, Georgia-Pacific LLC, a global paper company, is making progress on its Brawny project at its Broadway plant in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
The project mainly invested in a TAD paper machine. The machine will produce Brawny wiping paper and other products.
The investment will add at least 100 new jobs in addition to the plant's existing 850 employees and will significantly enhance Georgia Pacific Land's household paper and wipe paper retail business.
To continue the sustainable use of rain in the paper making process, the contractor extended the rain sewer infrastructure by 10,000 feet. Broadway Paper Mill currently has seven paper machines and several post-processing machines that produce sanitary paper, hand paper, wipe paper and facial tissues. Since 2006, Georgia Pacific has invested more than $1.2 billion in the Broadway paper mill. The project is expected to be completed in 2024.
