Sofidel Group of Italy has completed the acquisition of the German Hakle brand, which has allowed Sofidel to enter a new product category - wet toilet paper. Hakle is a beloved brand in the German tissue market, and has been ranked second in the market since entering the tissue industry in 1928.

 

Sofidel, as a globally renowned producer of sanitary products and household paper, is best known for its Regina brand in other markets in Italy and Europe. The company has announced that it has completed the acquisition of Hakle’s brands, including the use of intellectual property and brand names. Through this acquisition, Sofidel's position in the German household paper market has been greatly strengthened.
