Import
In 2023, the total import volume of wet wipes was relatively small, only 29500 tons, with an import amount of only 168 million US dollars, and the import volume and value continued to decline, with little impact on the Chinese market.
Export
In 2023, the total export volume of wet wipes was 619600 tons, a year-on-year increase of 18.60%. Among them, cleaning wet wipes are the main type, accounting for about 76.0%, and the export volume increased by 30.17% year-on-year. The export of disinfectant wet wipes continues to decline. The average export price of wet wipes is much lower than the average import price, indicating that China's high-value products such as functional wet wipes still have room for expansion in overseas markets. At the same time, it also indicates that the demand for certain high-end wet wipes in the Chinese market is still not being met.
